Many conditions can be treated as an outpatient basis. However, if an operation is required. Mr Mascarenhas is highly skilled in minimal access, or 'Key Hole', surgery being a Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology accredited trainer in operative Hysteroscopy and Laparoscopy. Any treatment required, can be undertaken with a view to future fertility, if so desired, his subspecialty accreditation in Reproductive Medicine means that Mr Mascarenhas has expertise to do this. Royal College accreditation as a Reproductive medicine subspecialist also makes Mr Mascarenhas an expert in treating subfertility, PMS, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and Recurrent Miscarriage.

In his NHS practice he sees a high number of patients requiring myomectomies for the removal of fibroids and undertakes hysterectomies abdominally, vaginally and laparoscopically. He has performed several hundreds of these procedures safely over the years. Mr Mascarenhas also runs a specialist perineal clinic for those women who require repair to the tissues around the vagina after childbirth.

Mr Mascarenhas provides well woman screenings tailored to the individuals concerns. In particular he is able to conduct screenings for common gynaecological cancers or investigate your fertility potential if you are considering starting a family now or in the future.
